A few weeks ago I was really bummed out over something and it put me in a funk for a few days (which I kept to myself).  Some of my friends noticed that I was slightly off, but no one really pried and I certainly wasn’t going to share.  Then some amazing things happened with work just a few days later, and just like that I was back to my happy peppy self.  It made me think of the high’s and low’s in life.  As much as I want to be happy and have a smile on my face all of the time, it just isn’t realistic.  There are some days or weeks when everything is amazing and couldn’t be better.  Then there are some where it seems like the world is crashing down on me and there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel.  I think it is important to realize that this is totally normal and we just need to get through the bumps in the road and know that everything has a funny way of working itself out in life.  How do you deal with things when they don’t always go your way?

PS we are quickly approaching fall and I love this knit skirt with this ruffled top.  It is the perfect way to mix summer and fall together while still being weather appropriate.  I paired it with my most comfy scalloped flats and I really love a monochromatic look.  I actually wore this to dinner with Nate in Laguna Beach a few weeks ago and we sat on the rooftop of a restaurant.  The knit skirt kept me warm enough once the sun went down and I just may be taking this to NYFW with me as well. x
